COMSOL

Xi Engineering Consultants have used COMSOL Multiphysics since 2005.  Since adopting COMSOL, Xi have continued to push the boundaries of what is possible through simulation. Xi work closely with COMSOL and are one of only four certified COMSOL consultants in the UK and one of less than 60 worldwide.

COMSOL is a multiphysics simulation platform meaning it can link different disciplines allowing Xi Engineering to simulate and predict the effects of many phenomena and processes.  From modeling the small; electrostatic behaviour of headphone speaker drivers, to the large; the structural and acoustic response of wind turbines to the mechanical excitation of the drivetrain, Xi will explore any simulation challenge.

Having real-world grounding is key to Xi’s success in simulation and modelling. Xi’s modeling team have hands-on engineering experience which is vital when accessing the validity of modeling outputs.  Our philosophy is, where possible, to use actual physical measurements or other real-world data to improve accuracy and provide confidence in our models.

The capabilities of simulation and modelling are constantly evolving and Xi ensure that they position themselves at the forefront of these changes.  COMSOL Multiphysics simulation allows clients to test and explore new configurations and concepts efficiently and at a cost well below that of physical tests and experiments.
