Xi have worked on improving building acoustics and performing completions testing for rating partition walls as well as at designing floors and tuned mass dampers for removing problematic resonances within structures. Some of Xi’s modelling work has involved identifying areas with high background vibration levels to find ideal locations for housing sensitive machinery and workshop equipment.
Structural Dynamic Assessments involve looking at the resonant frequencies of a structure and comparing them against the expected loading conditions and excitation forces. This will allow detailed analysis of the structure’s response factor and the expected vibration levels during operation. Knowing this information allows Xi to complete a comprehensive analysis of the expected performance of vibration sensitive equipment as well as the human response to vibration within a building. Knowing this information allows Xi to design suitable tuned mass dampers for removing any structural resonances which may cause frequency matching between sensitive equipment.
