Why we’re at the Offshore Wind Conference 2026

Scottish Renewables’ Offshore Wind Conference 2026 comes at an important moment for Scotland’s offshore ambitions. As the pipeline of fixed and floating projects grows, so do the expectations around design robustness, environmental performance and long-term reliability

Xi Engineering Consultants will be attending as delegates to contribute on three areas where we are already active:

  • Model-first design and risk assessment for complex offshore sites, combining multiscale simulation (from metocean to foundations, structures and cables) with measured data to support consent, design sign-off and investment decisions.

  • Underwater noise and environmental assurance for fixed and floating wind, building on operational projects such as Kincardine and Hywind, and our involvement in FLOWN-MIT, to characterise noise realistically and turn it into evidence regulators can use.

  • Digital twins and data-led decision-making, using SCADA, inspection and measurement data, combined with physics-based models, to support through-life asset management, fatigue and cable risk assessments.
Who should meet xi in (location)?

Is it worth 30 minutes of your time?

A short focused conversation is usually most valuable when you have a specific project or responsibility. It’s likely worth meeting if you are:

  • You’re dealing with the real engineering risk of floating wind: If you’re developing, owning, or advising on floating offshore wind projects and need to understand fatigue, motion, cables, moorings, underwater noise, or environmental interactions as a coupled system, we help quantify and reduce risk across design, consenting, and operations.
  • You need defensible evidence for consent, compliance, and stakeholders – not assumptions: If you’re responsible for consenting, environment, or marine policy and want robust, auditable ways to predict and manage underwater noise, vibration, and operational impacts, we provide measurement-informed modelling that stands up to regulator and insurer scrutiny.
  • You’re looking beyond build-out to long-term asset performance and value: If you lead asset strategy, innovation, or portfolio management for a floating wind developer, OEM, or investor, we build digital twins, monitoring systems, and predictive models that support lifetime decisions – from O&M optimisation to life extension and repowering.

If that sounds familiar, we’re happy to talk through real cases, not just concepts.

Let’s talk at the event

Topics we are keen to discuss

  • Model-based design, Multiphysics simulation, and investment de-risking for offshore projects
  • Digital twins, predictive analytics, and complex data processing for offshore decision-making
  • Underwater noise & environmental assurance for fixed and floating wind
  • Partnering to scale offshore renewables innovation
Come and say hello

Arrange a meeting at or after the conference

We’re keeping meeting slots focused and practical. You can choose between:

  • 30-minute discussion for for environment, consenting and technical leads with a specific site or challenge in mind.
  • 45-minute portfolio / pipeline discussion for for those shaping multiple projects or wider programmes.

Use the form or booking link below to suggest a time during the conference or to set up a virtual follow-up.
