Meet Xi at…

Offshore Wind Transmission Europe Conference 2026

Decision-grade digital twins for offshore transmission. De-risking subsea cables, life management, and bankable engineering decisions.

Date: 19 February 2026

Location: Novotel Amsterdam City

Attending: Mark-Paul Buckingham, CEO

Why we’re at the Offshore Wind Transmission 2026

Europe’s offshore wind industry is moving fast from ambition to delivery. As projects scale, the hard constraints come into sharp focus: transmission bottlenecks, subsea cable risk, consenting complexity, and the need to make engineering decisions that are robust, proportionate, and defensible to both financiers and regulators.

Xi’s CEO Mark-Paul Buckingham will be in Amsterdam to contribute on three conversation areas where we’re already active and where the stakes are rising fast:

  • De-risking subsea cables with digital twins from cable route planning desktop studies through to integrity, fatigue drivers, and full system interactions. Allowing teams to make confident choices early, not just diagnose issues later.

  • Life management for offshore assets: using real-time condition monitoring linked to digital twins and machine learning to optimise O&M, reduce uncertainty, and support life extension decisions.

  • Transmission reality: engineering approaches that help developers and stakeholders move from “plausible” to “defensible” enabling investment decisions when cost, risk, and timelines are tight.
Who should meet xi in amsterdam?

Is it worth 30 minutes of your time?

A short focused conversation is usually most valuable when you have a specific project or responsibility. It’s likely worth meeting if you are:

  • Dealing with subsea cable risk (developer, OEM, TSO, contractor, insurer): and need to understand route constraints, failure modes, inspection strategy, condition monitoring, or how cable decisions connect to the wider system.
  • Working on planning/consenting and environmental evidence: and need robust, defensible approaches to underwater noise and vibration (EIA/assessment) that hold up with stakeholders — without slowing delivery unnecessarily.
  • Responsible for long-term asset performance and value: and want a pragmatic way to decide what to monitor, what to model, and what “good enough” looks like for life extension and lifetime optimisation.

If that sounds familiar, Mark-Paul would be happy to talk through real cases, not just concepts.

Topics we are keen to discuss

  • Digital twins for transmission assets (cables, moorings, full system interactions)
  • Subsea cable route planning desktop studies (constraints, risk hotspots, decision support)
  • Underwater noise & vibration EIA work
  • Lifetime extension and life management for offshore assets
Come and say hello

Arrange a meeting at, or after, the conference

We’re keeping meeting slots focused and practical. You can choose between:

  • 30-minute discussion for for environment, consenting and technical leads with a specific site or challenge in mind.
  • 45-minute portfolio / pipeline discussion for for those shaping multiple projects or wider programmes.
